These principles are inherent to our human nature, they are also known as our human conditioning. How our partners of co-creation reflect in our daily lives is different for all of us. All the different elements that make up our internal value hierarchy range from naively positive to overly negative. They cover the whole range of the spectrum.
What we know, is that our conditioning has an overall negative bias. Science and psychology confirm what the Buddha stated about 2500 years ago, in his first noble truth; life is suffering. It is nobody’s fault, it is inherent to our nature.
Just becoming aware of these principles and applying them from time to time in our relationships with others is very beneficial as you might imagine. Just the realization that we all experience the same reality quite differently is a life changer.
But wearing this jacket is a whole different matter as it comes with great sacrifice. We can no longer blame others or the situation for how it makes us feel inside. This strategy might work for a while but at some point, we’ll have to face ourselves. We are responsible for how we feel. We all have to carry our own cross. Taking on this responsibility is a tremendous change, it is a shift, and making this U-turn isn’t evident at all. You’ll need good reasons to engage with this journey, and a journey it is.
For as long as everything was fine and life was working out the way I thought it should, I wasn’t even interested in this information. When I came across similar information, which I did, it just went in the “woo-woo spiritual” basket and I kept going. I was way too busy to give it any of my attention. Little did I know!
At some point, however, I could no longer remain ignorant of my own unconsciousness. Even though life around me looked amazing, including a dream job, but it did not reflect on the inside.
Apparently, all of the seminars and training I engaged with did not provide for a sustainable solution. I had to find a different way to explore my unconsciousness. I had to embark on an inner journey, I had to find the answers from within.
I founded Scent&Sense to embody my new engagement and made it my mission to share what I encountered along the way.
